The F Type is one of the first cars I can recall owning that I love the look stock. With that said I mean no spoiler. The SVR model spoiler doesn't look too bad and if I bought an SVR would leave it on. I think it makes the distinct appearance that it is not a standard F Type. The fixed wing (IMO) looks like a bad attempt of an aftermarket company trying to sell spoilers for the F Type. It doesn't flow and really deters from the beauty of the rear of the car. Again this is all subjective to each person's taste. My neighbor thought his 5 series looked amazing with these 22" rims that to me looked hideous. He bought the car because of the rims and personally I would have NEVER considered buying the car because of the rims.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I've decided against the one with the fixed spoiler. I do prefer the elegant lines of the rear end without it.

So not having an F yet, on the early models 14-17 does the retractable spoiler deploy automatically? Is it also deployable manually (switchable)?

The stock/OEM Spoiler deploys automatically at speed and retracts as well. In US the Spoiler can be manually raised to clean, but as you move forward the spoiler retracts.(at least on the models I have seen)

With the normal operation, it cannot be switched off, but you can alter that with modifications. I put together an entire info/DIY on the spoiler/wings on this forum you can look up if you like.
