Well I finally got around to painting my calipers to match the Firesand. The red clashed so bad and so I also changed the rotors. Used the G2 paint system and Concept Geomet rotors. I think it turned out quite well.
Looks great. I have been wanting to switch out the rotors on the car since I bought it. I will have to look into those as an option. What made you go with that brand?
I've had the Geomet R1 Concept rotors on my XKR for several years, just love 'em. They look great, don't rust after washing, and are smooth as silk when applying the brakes, well priced too.

Wait, they don't rust after washing? How is that even possible? lol I was going to go with Brembo rotors, but no after-wash rust is a big deal...
I usually wash my wheels first and will spray this after washing each wheel. I’ll wash the rest of the car and will give another quick spray after the entire wash.
To dry I use a high power blower to dry it as much as possible without taking off the wheels.
Love the look on these. Well done. My came to me black and for whatever reason, I am leaving it alone....so much dust anyway it is one less thing to worry about cleaning every day...... I do like silver too...understated too. Have some new pads in boxes and thought about painting the edges of them...for fun in yellow or red or mixes.....probably could not be seen and might muck up the functionality so haven't done it (porterfield 4s's).
I went with a cat on mine … Aluminum - heat proof decal. Just decided on that over words...Something different. Calipers were already red...But the backs are crap, so had to refinish.
Not sure how you did yours, but I have always spent a lot of time prepping to increase the chance of good results - and I use hi temp primer, paint, and clear. One thing to note is that the high primer and paint dissipate heat extremely well so i use a base color close the actual color of the car or the desired caliper color and then spray the factory color (one light coat) over top and place labels before applying clear coat (3 coats starting light and building to a glass finish. My most recent ones are pictured below.

I wasn't really looking into an upgrade on performance as braking isn't an issue for me, just wanted the look and not spend for something I wasn't going to get my money's worth. Others have used these and reported good quality and performance.

Thanks. I thought about joining TOTD, but I have other travel plans this spring.

Thought about it, but decided to keep original look. Yours does look nice though.

Glad to see you finally got to use the paint. I found it to be a great product with ease of use. Or actually the wife painted mine as she likes to do detail work as well!
looks great!
