Hi everyone....
I need to purchase new tires for my F-Type R sports car. Since I have to buy tires, Im in search to locate the new Pilot Sport S5 tires. I want to get, 265/35R20 for the front and 305/30R20 tire for the rear.
TireRack has the 265/35R20 tires for the front. They do not have the 305/30R20 tire size for the rear.
Has anyone purchased tires in this size, being the Pilot Sport S5 tire?
does anyone know where one can purchase the rear tires in the 305 size?
Thank you for your reply.

I don't believe Michelin has released a 305/30/20 tire in the PS S5 lineup yet. My understanding is that these tires are only being fitted as OEM tires initially, with sizes determined by the OEM fitment requirements. More sizes will be added in the future, as OEM needs arise. Here are the sizes currently listed on Michelin's site (and the corresponding OEM fitment):
Also, and you may already know this, but for anyone reading this thread, the S5 is not meant to replace the popular PS4S. The S5 is more of a "comfort" performance tire and is not designed for the same use case as the PS4S. Here is a pretty good summary I found when I was doing similar research for tires for my F-Type:

I think you are confusing Pilot Sport 5 vs Pilot Sport S5. The S5 is an upgrade to Pilot Sport 4S, but regular Pilot Sport 5 is simply a replacement for regular Pilot Sport 4 (Non-S).
I replaced OEM PZero rear tires with PS4S about 7 months ago, and oh boy, the tires make a huge difference in at-the-limit handling capabilities for the F-Type.
In particular, I find that OEM PZeros (in the rear) are more prone to sudden and snappy rear slides even at a moderate-speed 90-degree turn, while Michelin PS4S gives a much more tenacious and predictable handling behavior all the way to a higher limit.
It is a shame that JLR used such crappy P Zero Summer tires as OEM tires in the F-Type. It must have costed the company quite a bit in the handling review 10+ years ago from auto magazines and reviewers. I wonder what the reviewers would have said about F-Type's handling if PS4S were OEM tires, back in the day.

Yes, the largest rear tire available is the 295 tire size, no 305 available. I thought just MAYBE .... one of the members might know how to secure the 305 tire size.
okay, I understand.
thank you everyone.

I'm in agreement that the PS4S is a distinct improvement over the PZero. When I first switched over, I commented I could tell the difference as soon as I pulled out of the parking lot. In fairness, it was effectively a comparison of worn Pirelli's vs new Michelin's, but who's to quibble. When the time came for the next set, I stayed with PS4S. I think it's the most common choice across the forum.
