Default First 2021 facelift appears at dealer in Germany

This did surprised me such early in the year, the V8's are just for the lower power version (450PS) the time being.

I reckon these are gonna look great on the road. I'm not saying better, but with a black pack and the LEDs on it will look killer. I was admiring a very agro looking red car coming toward me a couple of weeks ago and it wasnt until it came close that I realised it was my wife in here 2020 XE - the front end looks very mean.

Well, I'll have to defer to the BMW owner as an authority on ugly cars!

Bruce, you don't have to... .. I have a 'good' looking F-Type ánd an F-Pace, so my sense of taste is above doubt..
Indeed, we have a 'shopping trolley' made by BMW, but the colour is identical to 'Loire Blue' ...

And it is JLR that copies everything BMW comes up with. From warranty plans to methods to install new maps,
even the new V8's come from my eastern neighbours. For you it is [ untranslatable joke ] " the -far-from -my -bed-show " ,
but for us its " better-a-good- neighbour - than - a - remote -friend " ...

No, no. After description on the website the cars are in stock at the dealer. "Verfügbarkeit : Sofort"
Concerning the look, I agree. This is a hudge cut in the design line. Now seeing it you want to believe that the E-type was build by Mazda.

@Cleantex
You are right about what they write. But, they are German and traders. They try to be 'ahead-of-the-game' by luring you to their premesis first.
I worked with Germans for 30yrs and I still have a lot of friends in Germany. Not any nearby, otherwise I could have ask them to check..

It is 300km away for me. Had it been up to 150km, I would have proven myself 100% right by driving there and take some pictures.
I need to run my new F-Pace in anyway..

Facelift is starting to grow on me

will have to go see what’s up at my local dealer

if I can order another v8 for same money as my current build, it’d be a no brainer to gain all the latest infotainment and svr chassis

Get your chuckles in now, bigfella, one of us will be sucking some humble **** come the end of the year when these cars come out.

Jag had pretty much exhausted what they could do with the current front end anyway and the fiddling hasnt been helping, I personally would prefer the '21 front end to the current, but the '16 front end to the current, if that makes sense.

Changes could have been limiter to removing the beam from the grille, enlarging the grille and reducing the size
of the headlights, keeping the general appearance as it was.

The new 'slit-eyed' F-Type will be available in Europe as of march, we don't have to wait until the end of 2020 or even '21..

The car will not continue on the present platform much longer anyway. They need to get hybride/EV options soon.

The XJ [ FX ??] will be 4-motor EV saloon +LWB on the extended wheelbase. The FK will be a '2+2' on the same
wheelbase as the saloon and the FR [ the successor of the F-Type ] on the shortened platform.
All will come with EV and Hybrid versions. Maybe an i6 and V8 as only ICE's for selected markets only.

Thats about the outline of things to come.

XJ EV.. 2020 fantasy. I think the grilles will not be there, just embossed. No mirror inside but a projection on the top edge of the front window [inside].

Not a fan of the new look facelift , to me looks like a lot of cars on the road now from the front view that is, them lights just dont sit right, everyone to their own, for me if i wanted to change my F-type down the line to a newer one would i, simply no, its the same car with just a few underskin differences and just a front end and rear light changes, why bother, think it would be a total waste of money, I would sadly have to shop elsewhere, or wait on a totaly different design

This is the idea.. .. what they could have done if they wanted to change the headlights. The grille section I left unchanged here. But with the new grille, who knows. I do not have the tools to generate such image.

Hi Dan,
Your mod is interesting as it represent what other carmakers do on the look, small changed only on the headlights, the eyes of a car have big effects on the general look.

Now imagine one guy standing years in the shadow of the chief designer, and then the bright light shines on him. He want to ignite a firework, and the result are a few fire crackers in a trashbin.

Yes, a personal tragedy. But the tragedy for the rest of the world is that we have to look at his failure..
