Flame coming from exhaust ....
Guys,
I know this might come off as a bit childish but I'll still pose the question. Would you guys like it if it were possible for a bit a blue color flame to shoot out from your exhaust tips, like when you see the DTM races on television. The car makes the wicked sound, so all its missing is a little bit of fire coming out from exhaust tips. Yes ...? No... ???

I don't think it'll be possible without damaging the cats and what little mufflers are there in car.
The only "street" cars I know that shoot flames have straight through exhausts, no cats, no mufflers (friend of mine has a turbo Porsche 930 that does this).

When an F-Type R with flames coming from the tailpipes is featured in Fast and Furious 9, you just KNOW the Jaguar image of old men, driving safely will be shot to hell and insurance rates will go through the roof!
I think I'm already contributing to breaking that stereotype...without flames.
Ha! Me too. I get some interesting looks getting out of the Jag with bright green and blue hair and a half-green beard.

I had a '90 Corrado G60 that with header, test pipe, straight thru muffler, overblown charger, and with a certain cam, FPR set up, and tune it would shoot flames a couple feet out the back on downshifts accompanied by lots of popping, more pronounced downhill or at higher rpm's. Oh to be a wanna be badass in the 90's again
+1 here, I will be a child at heart even when I'm an old man chronologically...just ask my wife. Fast but not furious.
As Cambo mentioned, you would need a catalyst delete or a high flow one. Depending on the capabilities of provided tuners, adjusting the DFCO (deceleration fuel cutoff point) can aid in this effect. Allowing a little more fuel in the system or fattening up the fuel mixture helps as well. Getting the system nice and hot helps stimulate the effect.
I'll be investigating deeply into the ECM's in the next couple months and will add to this thought once I get more into it.

Would be fun flames out the back. How about piping in bottled MAP or propane after the cats with an igniter? 1 bottle could go a decent amount of time.
I have one of the home-screen short-cuts programmed to display the rear camera. On very cold nights I say "let's see how we're doing" and I push the camera button as I punch the throttle. In the cold air the exhaust plume is very visible. "Ok - Afterburners are working fine!"
Good to be bad.

I know for a fact people jaws would drop open from shock. The exhaust all.ost gets this reaction so the combination of loud race exhaust sounds and a bit of blue flame coming out as the exhaust pipes and screams would most definitely freak out people.
Did this car come like this from dealer, capable if shooting out flames due to unburnt fuel in system. Or did the car have work done to it, maybe changing exhaust system to a straight pipe setup ?
Why can't the R Coupe shoot flames with all its pops and snap sounds.

Most cars with flames are rear engine/mid engine and therefore have a short exhaust run. Front engine would have to be straight piped as no fuel would make it passed the CATs and rear muffler or you would have a serious problem ...
