Default A fond farewll

Sad to say but my Jag experience has come to an end. I found a 2022 Porsche 718 Cayman 4.0 manual with 10K on the clock and I traded in the Jag on it. Quite a difference in the driving dynamics. Each one has their own particular joy, it was just time for me.

Good luck with your Porsche! Was your F-type a 6-speed MT?

Congrats. I was thinking of adding a Cayman S to my garage and still keep the Jag. I had a 911S prior to the Jag and as you said, entirely different rides it is really hard to compare. Its apples and oranges.

As a major Porsche fan over the past six decades, I can truly appreciate what the Cayman brings performance-wise, but to trade a F-type for a Cayman [aesthetically] is like trading the supermodel for a 5, at best. So much of what makes the F type exhilarating is the fact that it is absolutely gorgeous, an attribute that pushes all the right buttons in the male of our species and makes its stirring performance that much sweeter.

I was contemplating a Cayman manual before purchasing the F Type. Being 6' 3", 210 pounds, the effort to get in and out was a chore. I have no regrets. Although I never drove a Cayman, I am sure it would be a blast.
