Not sure how the dealer parts guy recommended replacing it, or how you did it, but I have my original black background growler perfectly intact. I had mine replaced when I had to have some front-end repair work done and the body shop had the front bumper off. With the bumper off, the emblem can be removed without any damage by bending the snap clips. Without removing the bumper, I would imagine that it would be difficult to replace without damaging the original. I'd also be concerned about damaging the surrounding plastic pieces in the process however. Good luck.

I replaced both of my black ones with red ones. Since they both were clued on with double sided foam tape they were both destroyed when I heated them up with a heat gun and pulled them off. The replacement red growlers were also delivered with double sided foam tape so to me it is not feasible how they could be removed without destroying.

Hi Schwabe,
How much did you need to heat it to get it off? So much so that is a risk for the surrounding platics?
Also, when looking at these badges on ebay, it seems like they say they only fit F-Types after a certain VIN (K10666). What might that be due to? Have they really changed the design so early? Or?

Not much, not hotter than you can touch, blow dryer will suffice ....

Now it's done.
I got a new red one from e-bay. I was a bit nervous that the old one would be very hard to get off. But I found a simple way.
I took a 0.5mm nylon fishing line, looped it around the backside of the badge (Luckily the badge is cone shaped so it slides easily in behind). Then I pulled the loop tight, and it directly cut in between the tejp and the badge, and it just pooped off. And its's completely intact.
Just some residue rubber tejp to peel off
An interesting fact that I noticed. The jaguar face on the new badge is slightly different from the old. After googling a bit it seams like Jaguar have changed the design between 2014 and 2015.

Only problem now is -22C. Not really Jag Weather. Hopefully a bit better over there in UK.
