So, installing H&R springs this weekend. Front passenger side, no issues, easy. The drivers side upright/A-arm ball joint was not coming loose. Pulled out the trusty rubber mallet and gave it some wacks. BOING it came loose and fell outboard waaay to far. I had it supported with blocks of wood, but they got spit out.

The front shaft came out, when I pull back the boot a little I can see where the axle fits in and engages.

Am I screwed here? Can I just wiggle it around till I get it back in there? Is it specifically aligned? (AWD)

 

I beat on it with a sledge hammer until I got it back in the hole....
