Default Ftype R coupe at Nurburgring

The F type doing an entire lag at Nurburgring with a fairly skilled driver.. you can see how demanding this track must be.

"Fairly skilled" driver. I think he induced most of the slides purposely but, probably not all. On a race track even the lightest slide and the resulting counter-steering actions are considered as "mistakes". But, lately in demo videos it has become the thing to do for its entertainment value.

Still, nice footage, shows a lot of speed from the R, as well as it shows how scary it can be if the go-pedal is pushed just a slight-bit too deep.

I have a feeling he didn't induce them. The F Type V8 is known to be very tail happy. Lights the rear up on command. And you could hear tire squeal if I am not mistaken while going in to a turn which means understeer and then he's giving a bit of gas to have the back turn the car around. That's my take.

Also gives a nice view of what the pano roof looks like from the inside.

The major slides are all just as he comes up to a slower car, the rest of the time he's fighting under steer using the throttle.

"Showboating" to clear a path I think.

Dang.. That video makes me not want to wait til October to get my F-Type. If I could have one request, it would be to make that damned rear view mirror see-through. It blocks half of the good stuff coming up ahead!

Great video... Thanks for posting.

Gotta agree. This guy is a decent driver , and appears to have had the Jag's handling characteristics down pretty good after the turn at the 30-sec mark. Most everything after that appears more planned than not. (BTW, nice vid, Lawrence.)
