Default Are there hacks available for the infotainment system?

My 2012 BMW had several hacks available that could alter the way some car features behaved. A couple of examples included auto folding mirrors (I know our FTypes do this), playing DVDs when car is in motion, etc.

Are there hacks available for the FType?

Not that I know of from 1+ year of visiting this forum...I think the demand is just not there for people to hack the system.

These "hacks" as you call them, are just vehicle settings. You could easily do the same thing by getting your hands on jaguar diagnostic software or nicely asking your dealer.

+1.The car is so much fun to drive, you don't need to augment the experience with a bunch of irrelevant features.

There is a "secret menu" in the XF touchscreen that get's you into some additional stuff.

I imagine there would be something similar with the F-Type.

The RR Evoque has the same touchscreen setup so maybe that method would work?

The PIN is for the real Valet mode, you make it up. I just confirmed (on the 2016) that you hold the Valet button for a LONG time and it will bring up the "secret" menu.

If it asks for a PIN you didn't hold it long enough.

+1 on hidden menu. Just did the long hold valet and it took me to the menu. When I click anything though, it just goes black.

Did you find any interesting user configurable settings?

There are some weird app settings and other things that I believe a technically proficient person would understand how to use to start altering / hacking apps?

IE just figure out a way to get Waze or GMaps on the console. PLEASE =)

Adding touchscreen control is a bit more involved and you'll see it's not perfect, but have you seen this?
