Any one down for a fully custom made front grille assembly with Maserati/AMG style vertical slats for the 2014-2020 f type?

Details:

A mold will be created from the original part to ensure perfect fitment, and include all necessary mounting points, emblem, badge and sensor mount can be integrated.


Price will be in the 1k usd range before shipping, and will vary depending on material and finish desired, options include fiber glass with primer, gloss/matte black or carbon fiber finish(cheaper), or full carbon fiber construction ($$$)

Is there any interest?

I kinda like it.

 

Always a fan of Maserati grille design, I’m a sucker for concavity on wheels, and feels the same for their grille, powerful yet reserved with the simplest lines.

 

I would be interested but not sure in that design. I don't think it looks right on the car. Too much like the Maserati grill and IMO doesn't match the lines of the car.

 

@Whatsnext do you have anything in mind?

I’m currently on pic 1, it’s definitely not exactly how I’d hoped it to be(not even close, if you zoom in closer you can see the center slats are too short and i had to extend them, other than that, the slats are too roundish and doesn’t look sharp or aggressive), i liked pic 2 a lot better, but i botched the finish so it was scrapped.

They were all made with off the shelf parts with beginner level of skill and limited amount of tool.

Oh and the fitment of the grille surround sucks, they are supposedly handmade, but in s bad way.

That’s why I’m resorting to the professional to get it done from scratch, and taking design from a car that already looks good seems like the easy route.

Haven’t dived too deep into the details but most of my requests can be fulfilled, mounting holes, sensor mounts, finish and material, design, etc.

The current contact is retailer level, think something like your local shop that sells and installs lowering springs etc

to reach the manufacture level, i can probably find them, but a minimum order is probably required, and judging by the current response, i don’t think so.
