Still think it is more inconvenient for me.
Hardly get to drive faster than 50mph on side roads with bendies, and hard to think it makes any difference on highways.
It makes an amazing difference! Every time you take a corner, you feel it [super flat]. Sitting a bit lower gives you a different perspective, as well. And the appearance, although only 1.2" lower makes a BIG difference [to me]. Of course, I am a serious perfectionist and [I suppose] I am more sensitive to and appreciate such things. Again, my F type is more of a hobby to me, so why not make it just the way I think it should be? I get that other people could care less, but I would imagine that most people here are enthusiasts and would appreciate the little things, as well.

On my '98 C2S, I went to the trouble of ordering the European front bumper cover to get rid of the horrendous looking little black rubber bumper-ettes that were required for North American cars. Added air intakes and white signals which made the car look soooo much better. Looked just like a European Turbo S. And why not?

I was just responding to what you posted. If you are trying to make a specific point, people are going to add their 2c. Btw, I haven't taken a substantial road trip in many decades. Not my idea of great fun.

Two steps:

1. See post 18. That is the one with the short request and the big picture of a blue coupe coming towards the viewer.

2. Take a look at your comments: Then note your addition to the cause: "On my '98 C2S, I went to the trouble of ordering the European front bumper cover to get rid of the horrendous looking little black rubber bumper-ettes that were required for North American cars. (bonus, you had to add "Btw, I haven't taken a substantial road trip in many decades. Not my idea of great fun." You typed those in a thread asking for people to post about fun road trips and add pictures of same.

Did you achieve your goals here?

Have a nice day.

I don't know about you, but for me, this forum is just about discussing cars. Is it really worth the above critique? And what kind of goals could one possibly have here?

Let's all get back to road trip stories, functional reviews in that context, and pictures. Lots of topics in that but not all of them....feel free to go somewhere else please if you take things too far off topic. Example: talking about a Porsche 993 bumper customization process is too far afield to be appropriate for this thread.

Thanks!

In 2021–and the year before—15 F-Types took a magnificent (some might say “magical”) road trip to Deer Isle, Maine and Aragosta at Goose Cove.

Default 3500 km Christmas

The route - meets the cross continent grand tour measure.

Plenty of space for a week

Great ocean road.
