Fuse 15 poll
Since there is suddenly some uncertainty about the consequences of removing fuse 15 (Link), I’d like to know if anyone here on the forum has experienced any issues (exhaust/exhaust system). F-types with a PPF or OPF system fitted.
If you respond, please include how long ago fuse 15 was removed and approximately how many kilometers or miles you’ve driven since then.
If any repairs were needed, please also mention what was repaired and what the costs were.

Took delivery of my P450 in March of 2022 and pulled fuse 15 after reading of the exhaust enhancement here after perhaps a year of ownership. I have driven approximately 7,000 since pulling the fuse and have no intention of replacing it.
You beat me to it. I was going to ask people same.
2024 R, I’ve had the fuse 15 out essentially since I took delivery of the vehicle in May 2024. No issues that I’m aware of.
I only have a little over 4000km on my car at this point.
Whether or not there is actually a causal link established with the removal of fuse 15, I’m still planning to try and find a way to monitor my GPF. My Kms are generally low, and I honestly don’t know how successful my car will be with doing GPF regenerations with my typical driving conditions.

I’m just not a pull a fuse or install a relay for Claws out Mode kind of guy. To each their own for sure. If I want loud I pull down for Dynamic mode, and if I don’t, I don’t. I find the car sounds beautiful when I am in Dynamic and push her a little. Extremely happy with that. FWIW 2023 FTR 3,400 KM.

The difference is huge.
Bought my 2023 R 3 months ago and immediately pulled fuse 15. Have not driven it much, maybe 300 mi. but I put the fuse back in a couple days ago because of the thread. Will wait to see if further info says I can pull it again without problems. Love the sound without it.

I personally believe the source of this "issue" with fuse 15, is looking for attention to their "expertise" and drive awareness to their business and offerings. It is nothing short of a marketing tactic. Just my personal opinion.
The other thing that crossed my mind, and not saying this is for sure, but one other thing these customers have in common besides all apparently pulling fuse 15 is that tuner…lol…Again, not suggesting anything for sure (how could I accurately), but yeah…Anything is possible…Is it something their services have done? i.e.: This company tuned, or did some work on their car, and they are coming back with problems? To be clear, I have no evidence of this, but this is where my thought process goes to consider all possibilities. Especially when not necessarily entirely substantiated information is coming from that person/company.
The other thing that could possibly be relevant is one’s typical driving style, as I alluded to above.
If people could mention their driving habits it could be helpful. Eg; typically low miles, short drives VS. avg miles with good mix of long/short runs etc, or something like this….
Cheers

You having a 2016, not sure any of this applies to you etc…The issue at hand we’re talking about is for GPF equipped f-types, but we’ll still take your experience as being in the good luck column ;-0

Have not pulled the fuse. I use the switch all the time, but prefer the quieter setting on the freeway and when I'm feeling considerate of the neighbors.
I do find there is a little difference in low-rpm throttle response in the first quarter of the pedal travel, It's a little more responsive in the louder setting.

Pulled the fuse 7K miles/12 months ago and had no issues but the car has no particle filter. It transformed the experience for me and it's alongside stuffing the symposer, a must mod for manual F-types. Code is logged on the ECU but no lights on the dash.
Appreciate folks putting together some notes. My mileage is too low to add to the sample set, but I will not be reinstalling fuse 15 at this time.
Has anyone tried the VAP stage 1 tune, with all pops/bangs added AND fuse 15 installed?

You could ask Thunder Dump. According to his signature he has a VAP stage 1 tune. But he also has a VAP valvetronic exhaust, and I would imagine he is typically rolling with fuse 15 out…I would think.
