FYI -- performance seats are a necessary option, but not for the reason you think

Without performance seats, the seatbelt always falls way behind the seat, making it a pain to reach back there and grab it.

With performance seats, the seat belt always gets caught on the seat's upper wing, making it super easy to grab.

Noticed this when I traded my regular seat F type for a performance seat model.

I see your point, but I have long legs. This means the seat tends to be far enough back for the belt to hook around the seat bolster.

Also, it you look on the Configurator, it appears they were designed to have a bracket attached that held the belt in place.

Yes I push my seats forward.

On the base model F Type I had before I turned it in for a V8S, there was no hook or anything on the seat to hold the seat belt. It's basically impossible to grab it with your left hand (American driver's seat) so I would have to twist my body to grab it with my right hand. Huge pain. Now with the performance seat it's super easy.

True, but I'm still happy with the standard seats. I did find wearing a helmet is a bit awkward since there isn't a separate headrest - had to recline the seat a bit.

You'd have to do that with the overblown seats too.

I've just been giving my seats a poke and there is no obvious mounting point for the brackets shown in the Configurator.

did you really make this post? LOL

I can see that seatbelt being a minor issue but forgive me for just liking seats that fit me well for driving.

Just figured out what you meant by configurator (i.e. the jaguar website where you build your f type). Yes that's odd that the base model seat on the website has a hook for the seatbelt, but the IRL seat didn't have that hook.
