G-Lock how to fit

G-Lock how to fit
Tried and failed to fit my trusty G-Lock to my '16 R.....am I missing something ? The fitting for the "male" portion is too large/fat it seems to me.
Have a 2 day track event coming up the 18-18 July.....have used the G-Lock for years on a Z3 MCoupe with great success....though I must say the R seats have much better support, so p'haps the G-Lock is unnecessary.
Help ?
