Some cars have manual/emergency fuel lid releases in the boot. But a good story in any event. Another one to add to the legend of Jaguar electronics.

As long as we have moved into the ether, a small convenience I would appreciate would be memory key fobs. The kind that set the seat position etc when you unlock the car.

Seat position on mine hasn't changed since the day I got the car. (Oh... maybe when it goes in for service). Having to press the seat memory button once or twice per year is not really an issue, is it?

LOL, 90% of all the threads on this forum are not really an issue IMO....

It's only an issue to the extent you share the car with someone who is of a different stature.

For reference, the locking gas cap from Coventry West apparently only fits 2014 and 2015 models. Why they would change the gas cap of all things after only two model years baffles me, but I'm out of luck for my 2017. If anyone finds one that fits, please let me know.

Chances are they didn't and that's just never been updated.

200yrs. of tradition, totally unhampered by progress....
Oh well, there are the rest of the parts of the F-Type. Maybe just a few of the engineers back in the hidden corners of the backrooms designing the petrol necks/doors.

Actually, that's what I assumed, so I ordered the part and it definitely doesn't fit my 2017. So apparently Coventry West was accurate in their description, it fits only 2014-2015 models. I wanted to save someone else from making the same mistake.
