I am looking for the little clip/pin that goes into this spot:




I searched the net and one part number keeps coming up C2S5838

- BUT it has different looks and contexts so I was wondering if anyone could confirm....am quite willing to get a generic part for this too....any old clip that works and is black would be great! (one of those box of 100 on Amazon for 8 dollars things...). One place has them for 50c and another for 6 dollars...seems a bit odd.

Can you zoom out so we have a clue what part of the car that is?

 

It looks like the door that covers the gas cap.

 

Sorry, it is the door that cover the gas cap....the tether broke and the pin was already toast....so I have a new gas cap on the way but will need one of the pins to finish the job. Looks to be like a wheel well lining or trim clip but is very small.

Ordered. Cheap shipping and a great site. Now I want to find an e type though. Not a new thought, but they sure do have great images on their site. Great story too.
