Just wanted to share this. If you're bothered by the HVAC control getting scratched up from fingernails, abrasive wipes, etc, this will fit perfectly and protect the (frankly easily scratched) dial surface.



It doesn't have to be that product specifically - any 38mm round circles meant for clear scratch protection will work just as well. I just installed mine today and it was a perfect fit. The overlay did away with some existing scratches too.

 

Interesting. My car had two small scuffs on one knob when I bought it and I removed the whole assembly to do my carbon fiber interior and polished the piano back shifter surround and the clear plastic over the controls. Came out brilliant and this product should go a long way to protect them. Nice tip.
