Default Help with launch control

Just watched a you tube with someone in an F Type V6s using launch control. They said you have to be in Dynamic mode (yep) and that you must turn off traction control - handbook doesn't say that. Just says left foot on brake, dynamic mode, raise revs to about 2000 until it says "launch control active"
Which is right? Do you have to take traction control off? I thought launch control just modified how traction control operates and you leave it on?

Leave it on.

Lots of conditions have to be met for launch control to activate (steering straight ahead, etc.) but traction off isn't one of them.

Don't need to turn off traction control. I got best results in Dynamic/Sport. You will still get a lot of wheel spin even with launch control.

Agree with above. Traction control can be on or off on my 2016 V6S. Otherwise, as described.

Thanks all, thought that would be the case. Just need a nice dry day and a straight, quiet bit of road to try it out now!

Guys, how long you have/can stay on both brake and gas pedals to activate LC?
From what RPM it starts?
Does it start from 1st or 2nd gear?
I cannot activate it

This document describes how to activate it, and what it does. Note that this is a pretty dumb implementation - engine RPM is controlled by your right foot, not the ECU. Primarily, it doesn’t do RPM matching during shifts.

I’ve tried it a few times, not a big deal. Originally, it was only present on the V6S, don’t know about now.

It was also present on the 4-pot I had as a loaner back in 20218.

- Depress the brake pedal and hold with the left foot.
- Move the Transmission Control Switch to either theDrive (D) or Sport (S) position

Do I have to be in Park to activate the sequence?

No, just apply a few thousand revs until the dash tells you it's activated.
