It seems sometimes Brushed Titanium looks lighter, almost like a Brushed Clear...and sometimes it looks darker, almost like the Brushed DDT.

Our car is Ammonite Gray with dark windows, and does have chrome/aluminum trim. We want a finish that accents the brightwork, without being overly bright and shiny. I *LOVED* the look of Tork Monster's VS03's; but we're shopping the VS21s, which have a more complex spoke profile. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks all!
I never got a box of sample finishes but lucked into getting the exact finish I wanted.

Hi Jaggyx,

I Am wondering if the your recommended wheels offset are correct?

20 x 9.5 ET41 and 20 x 11 ET29

i read from some members that they opted for 20 x 9 and 20 x 10.5 . Am not sure which one should I choose?

will be great if you cAn share your car with your new rims install . It should be a beauty

thank you for advise

265/305 tires are a perfect match for the 9.5/11 wheels. The stock 255/295 tire size combo is best matched with the stock 9/10.5 wheel combo. The 41mm offset For the upsized front wheel seems a bit extreme and may push the wheel face out too far. 46mm, I think , is a better choice.

Default In talks with PK; photoshop request & tire decisions

I’ve been in touch with PK Auto Design over the last week, and think we have wheel specs nailed down, but have peripheral questions.

Here’s where we are, wheel-wise:
VS Forged VS21 in Gloss Brushed Titanium
19x9 ET42 front
19x10.5 ET25 rear

TireRack told me that even with the wider wheels, I can confidently run the OEM optional tire sizes of 245/40-19 front, and 275/35-19 rear. I was concerned that the rears may be stretched a bit too much, and am considering 285/35 instead. Thoughts here?

Lastly, I’ll attach a photo of our car, and the wheel style/color, in hopes that someone with photoshop skills could show me how it might look; keeping in mind that we’ll be stepping up from 18s to 19s.

Not a formal poll, but do any of the board members require Photoshop photos of shoes or other things they wish to purchase from your significant others seeking approval? For female members, this is in no way to assume your only interests are shoes; just an example.

Lol. never, my SO knows that I will buy, modify or sell whatever I choose. I am a lucky guy, she even encourages me to spend my money. However I really value her opinions and often run stuff by her. At worst I get an eye roll, at best she is on the internet trying to find me the best deal.
Best advice I ever received on relationships "never let them believe you are fully committed ".

No doubt, I always solicit advice, even if I already know what I want its nice to hear another perspective. I get plenty of eye rolls but I also get some "you should definitely that". And, its not to say I don't want to keep the peace, but we are all individuals and should have our own interests and the ability to do what we want.

Default Wheels ordered!

Finalized our order tonight, and we’re excited!

We went with VS21 in 19x9 ET42 front, 19x10.5 ET25 rear. We finally decided on gloss black, with brushed clear spoke faces, and rim edges. Ordered the TPMS sensors as well, and PK threw in chrome lugs.

Perfect offsets. Extends the wheel faces by 13mm.

Is that a center cap reducer/adapter that I see? Never really occurred to me to try those. Looks really clean.

Photoshop to show how everything may turn out. If they look anything close to this, I’ll be very pleased!

You’ll want to see them on the other side as well. Since the wheels are not symmetric, they won’t look the same on the other side.

@Unhingd Valid point! Having the wheels spin one way on one side, and the other way, on the opposite side doesn't bother me. The OE Velas aren't symmetrical; nor are the Enkei TM7s we threw on our Mazda 3 daily driver.

That’s a bummer, I would have thought most manufacturers would consider this when designing them. I have directional 3SDMs on another car and they look awesome because they are directional and look correct from both sides. I generally don’t like directional- have to have the right body lines, concavity etc to make them work.
