FWIW, I’ll be listing my VS Forged wheels after the holiday weekend. Not sure they’d work on an R, but for base, and S owners…something to consider:
19x9 & 19x10.5; complete with tires and TPMS. Less than 4k miles on them.
mine are for sale also, only because im selling the car. 20x11&20x9.5, look pretty sharp. no issues with the wheels themselves, for 3 grand id say theyre a good buy.
Apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but VS Forged currently has a Black Friday sale on its VF01 wheels. Until 15 December, you can get $500 off each VF01 wheelset. During the sale, a 20" set of VF01 wheels will cost $2,300. That includes the lug nuts and shipping.

I pulled the trigger on a 20x9" (+37) and 20x11" (+32) set of VF01s in Brushed Titanium.
I have no affiliation with VS Forged or Wheel Designers. I'm just passing along what I thought was a decent sale.
Resurrecting this thread again Looking at a set of the VF01's above, any interest in setting up another group buy? Or at least keeping my eye out for BF sales, hopefully they'll do like last year.
The nicest aftermarket wheels I’ve ever seen in person are a set from HRE my buddy bought used for his Aston Martin Vantage. These days the set he has would run approx $20K CND dollars new. As nice as they are, you’d have to have rocks in your head to pay that ;-0 He lucked out. His were mint, bought from a dealer somewhere here in Ontario. They only had a couple thousand KMs on them.
Pretty happy with the stock wheels that came on my R. Can’t see me bothering to change them out unless they get wrecked or something.

Yeah depends on your goals. These forged rims are about 2500ish +/-. I like the look of my stock diamond cut gyrodynes a lot, but they are super heavy. Something like 35 lbs a corner if I recall correctly, these forged rims are 20-21 lbs per corner, 14-15 lbs unsprung weight per corner. That is a LOT, even on a heavy car like ours. Combine that with a lightweight brakes kit, which should shave off maybe another 10 lbs per corner and you're around 25 lbs per corner total. That's the real reason I am looking at lightweight forged rims.

I sincerely don’t have enough experience with different performance-oriented vehicles to truly know how much of a difference 50 - 100 lbs off a 3800 lb car would make for street driving. My guess would be not much, but I just don’t know for sure.
Maybe on the track it COULD matter more, but then ya probably have the wrong car to begin with in that environment (i.e.: In a F-Type).
All this said, being a car enthusiast I fully understand that I don’t need to understand why we all make the individual choices we do for our rides…lol…As we know, things making sense is rarely a hard requirement in our brains ;-0 Sometimes we just like what we like, which is absolutely fine.

True! If you just like to cruise and are less of a backroads bomber it is probably money better spent on maintenance
I do have to clarify, we are talking unsprung weight which is vastly different from shaving a static 100 lbs off the chassis itself. This directly affects steering, handling, and acceleration (better contact with the road, less gyroscopic effect on steering, less rotating mass during acceleration). It's not just personal feelings, it is science (yo). I would also argue that this is more important for performance driving on less-than-perfect backwoods than a groomed track (some tracks can be pretty rough too).
Not looking to bore you but lmk if you'd like me to give more detail + the math let me know

All good. I knew that’s what you were getting at, and that was what I was referring to. Not denying the science behind it, I just have no direct experience with the impacts is all, to know how much of a difference it is. My life to this point has been boring Volvos and Toyotas, and I have 0 complaints about how this F-type feels as is.
If ya get em’ be sure to post up some pics. They look good, that is for sure.

Made a slight lateral move, instead of VF01 in titanium decided to go with the VF02 brushed silver. Was also thinking about bronze to go with my ultimate black paint but I chickened out will post pics once they arrive and I get them mounted.
