Default Gyrodyne Wheels

Gentleman,

I will be receiving my F Type V6 S in March. I really like the look of the Gyrodyne wheels on the F Type but they are not an option for the v6s. I would like to know if anyone here would have a source for the Gyrodyne rims outside of the dealer. I will have the silver Tornado rims on the F Type once I receive it in March.

Thanks

Excellent choice on wheel style. I have a base car and bought a set from the company link below.

Even though they didn't have them in stock, they were able to source a set from Jaguar dealer who was selling a slightly-used set from an F-Type R, owner who wanted a different style. They seem to have a large source list, and they located my set in less than a week. They were in perfect condition, mounted and balanced with P-Zeros and TPMS, ready to bolt on.

Interesting. Do you know a vendor who might do a part exchange on tires like this? I would love to ditch the P Zeros for PSS when my car arrives.

I doubt they'd do a tire exchange, but you can always call and ask.

The Jaguar Gyrodyne wheel is a 20" wheel only.

Default Gyrodyne wheels available

I am taking delivery of my F/R tomorrow. It has the 20 inch Gyrodyne wheels, which I will be replacing in the next couple of weeks with CCW wheels. I was planning to sell them afterwards

Looks like you're in luck with "Changingup." He's also only one state away.

I had not thought about a price yet, you can make me a reasonable offer. Give me a little time and I will do some research, I don't know what people are selling for, I am not looking for max price.

Each of you can feel free to PM me, and I can tell you what I paid for my set of Gyrodynes, which were take-offs after only a few miles on a new R coupe.

I am taking the Gyrodyne wheels fit on the V6S even though they were not on the accessories list? Was it an R exclusive option?

Yes, it was only available as the standard wheel on the R, but will fit any non-SVR F-Type without the CCBs.

Gyrodynes are a great looking wheel, especially powdercoated black (imo). Only complaints are they are heavy, not forged.

Anyone know why they moved away from naming their wheels after spinning things? "Style 6003" just doesn't do it for me and I can no longer tell which one is which.

My car came with Tornadoes and I really wish they didn't have the fake bolts to make it look like a 2-piece wheel. They look busy and just make it harder to clean.

My guess is they ran out of names for spinny things that sounded OK and weren't already owned by someone else.

I agree! That is exactly what I am doing. Picked up a great set for a great price here on the forums. Having them refinished and powder coated in gloss black. They seemed pretty light when I transported them.

They mostly didn't change the design though, just the name. As far as I can tell 1036, 5061, and 1041 were added and a few were dropped
