Has anybody tried fitting 355 P zero? with custom wheels
Talked to my wheel guy today about fitting 355/30R19 or maybe R21 P Zero with some billet forged Niche wheels. I was curious if anybody has gone this wide yet. Seems like aftermarket for the F-Type is very small market
I know we have some folks with 305's in the rear, and I think there was a thread talking about someone going with 325's, but I haven't heard of anyone going as wide as 355. If you manage it, I'd be interested to see how it works out.
I highly doubt you're going to be able to add a full 2 inches of tire to the back of these cars. I don't believe there is enough space. However you do have the right idea by going with 19s instead of 20s if you're looking for increased grip.
From a performance perspective I am wondering if it would actually be better with slightly narrower tyres rather than wider. I think it already spreads the weight over too much surface area.
My GTR almost weighs the same and when I had 285 up front and 315on the rear the car would kick out the rear very quick and get sideways. Now im running 305 up front and 345 in the rear night and day difference. I know this is a different car but i would be interested in the results if you put skinnier tires on it and took it to the track or drag strip.
I was really just going for the looks with this wide setup I like the way a viper or aventador looks from behind. I will work on prices today if not just go to 305 with a 120 tread wear

While this is absolutely true, i meant without significantly modifying the vehicle. To fit an extra 2 inches of tire you'd need fender flairs for sure.
Depends what you're looking for. A wider tire creates a wider lateral surface area which would help prevent the tire from losing grip while cornering. A skinnier or taller tire creates a wider longitudinal surface area which will help prevent smoky burnouts. All about what you're looking for a making the contact patch/sidewall stiffness work towards that.
