I honestly think that negative thinking can become a self fulfilling prophecy sometimes. If you go looking for hate where there is none you may just find some in your own mind. One’s attitude towards the world can greatly shape how they end up perceiving it.

At the end of the day these are inanimate objects, as much as we like to think sometimes that they “have soul” yada yada. In reality they don’t, lol, so they’re not worth getting upset over one way or the other.

Who cares if someone else doesn’t like your chosen inanimate object?

Please dont make assumptions lol for one I do not race I know some people do but not me, I drive defensively and have fun at the same time. I shared my experience to see if others have experienced some hate along the line. I am an enthusiast just like everyone else. And I shared that Youtube video because the same video where he originally did doing comparisons in the comment section some Porsche owners or fanboys were spewing out hate. This is one of many examples for those on the forum that never experienced the hate it does exist so please be aware. So furthermore if they hating online you can only imagine what its like when you on the road with these people it can become a unpleasant encounter. Its not that deep gee whiz lol.

 

Something for you to think about -

When I'm on the road driving one of my cars, could be one of the Vettes which can cream just about anything on a 0-60 or rolling, but also the GTS, the Aston, even the Bentley which was set up to look street aggressive (not an old man's car), once in a while I would get an aggressive driver blasting past me, coming up fast then driving alongside aggressively. I take these as another asshat "testing" his car out on the street trying to use me and my car as a test case.

The point I am making is, in situations like these I separate the car and the driver. It doesn't matter what the car is, it is the driver acting like an asshat. Although BMWs love getting aggressive with my AMG and Mustangs drivers usually getting aggressive with anything I am driving including the Aston.

I'm not one for flipping off other drivers, even the aggressive ones, and I stopped any form of street racing at 20 years old when, by that time, I had lost my license twice already for street racing. But, I still do get annoyed with the asshat that wants to prove something using my car and the situation at the moment.

So, just something maybe to just ask yourself - is the Porsche driver who just flipped you off in your example in the first post flipping off you or your car?

I've said this on one other thread that you started with a similar tone. I think it is great you really love your car. I love to see car enthusiasts of all stripes (which I am) in a hobby that seems to be dying among younger gens. But give some deeper thought to who or what just got flipped off.
