Hello everyone! What a great Forum!! I've already learned a lot and hope I can contribute in the future.
I was born and grew up in Coventry, I live in SoCal now and I'm really happy and proud to have a Jaguar again after a few years hiatus with BMW's.
Last week we bought a 2016 base F-Type from our local Dealer here in Newport Beach with the vision package and more, we waited about 3 months for it to come in, we wanted the reverse Camera etc so that's why we had to wait for one to show up.
Looks great! I'm sure you'll love it. If you've been reading through the forum, you've seen that it's a good group and pretty much attached to our cats.

Anyway, here he is.....
2016 F-Type V6
Congrats and welcome! You have impeccable taste! :-)
Thank you for the warm welcome everyone!! We picked him up over a week ago, took him for a 40 mile drive, then the next day my wife took off for the UK, this is pretty much her Car, so he's sat in the Garage ever since but I can't wait to drive him when she comes back. She keeps encouraging me to take him for a spin, I have started him a few times, I love the heartbeat on the start button.
The biggest challenge so far was to remove the wind deflector, we drove at night so it blocked the rear window somewhat, I discovered one has to push down on it to release the retainer clips.
The other thing is, I probably look at Cars differently to most, I'm from the Auto Indistry and have helped take a lot of Cars from Blue Print to tail lights, including Jaguars. The F-Type is an engineering masterpiece, Aluminum can be a nightmare to work with, but taking the clamshell Bonnet for instance, it's a one shot pressing and done to perfection. Hats off to the designers, Engineers and Toolmakers that make this happen.
Also, it's nice to be on a Forum of people who have invested their hard earned money to support the People at Jaguar, without you the F-Type probably wouldn't exist.
I'm looking forward to driving our F-Type and contributing to this forum whenever I can.
