Default Hello - New to group and intro

Hello all - Introducing myself to the forum. I purchased a 2014 FType S v6 over in the summer and after finding and reading informative posts here I joined hoping to both learn and share what I find about this car. I come from a 2012 Mustang GT w/6spd, before that a 2007 G35 6mt sedan. The thing that sold me was that the Jag handled like on rails as compared to the Mustang. And what a much more beautiful car and a hell of a lot more fun to drive even without a stick. In fact I don't miss the stick at all, which I thought would be a big tradeoff.

I plan to do most if not all work on my Jag myself, as she will be riding out the winter in my garage as the warranty expires. Forgive me if I ask stupid or asked-and-answered questions. Hopefully I can also post lessons learned about my adventures keeping her on the road.

In summary - Pros: Handling, nice car. Cons: wife decided she had to have a mini cooper convertible right afterwards.

Cheers!

Welcome! Nice looking vert.

We're all here to learn, and worry not, there are no dumb questions. Most here will even patiently answer questions that are answerable using the search function.

Great to have more members that want to work on the car themselves, that seems to be increasingly rare these days. To me installing an upgrade or modification is almost as much fun as driving with it.

Great looking car. The blade wheels really look fantastic with that paint color. I'm also a fairly new owner of a new to me 2015. What fantastic cars these are. Cheers!

After I got my F-Type, my wife got the itch for a F-Pace. To make matters worse, she decided she needed the "S" to match mine. Now, I'll have to get a R (or SVR) to stay ahead in the arms race.

@mark999 @uncheel - Yeah they don't tell you about all the extra costs associated with these cars. But its worth it. Guess I better join the Mini forum too!

Fair warning: folks on the MINI Forum (at least the NAM forum) aren't as friendly as you will find here. They'll get into drag down fights about things as silly as whether turning on the fog lights will blind oncoming traffic. You should have seen the uproar when we first started tuning the S and JCW models back 15 years ago. A number of us were solely responsible for the looming Armageddon. Come to think of it... the F-Type forum suffered similarly 2 or 3 years ago, but it calmed down much more quickly once the data came in.

Hello, to all F-type owners, i finally pull the trigger and bought a 2014 F-Type V8 S White and Black.

I must say i a quite pleased with my new car.

As you may see i had a 2001 XKR for the last 16 years and she was great and still the beauty she was 16 years ago.

But I like the new technology and after 16 years just decided she needs a new home or at least pasture.

I will post pictures in future but for now she is going through general modifications. adding stereo equipment and front and rear camera etc. also going through paint correction and clear bra.

I hate that i get new car and now it gone for a month!

Hope you all have a great Holiday and a Happy New Year. Thanks for all help and answers in advance.
Kind regards,
Mitchell

Welcome to the forum! Nice ride man.

Living, or shall I say driving in MA, I suppose you need a performance car. Last time I drove in your state, I was scared shitless. Those drivers are nuts!
