Default Help!

I have been in love with these cars since they came out! Damn those sexy lines and the exhaust my god!!! So I have finally(I think) found a good deal on a lightly used 2014 f type S (v8) ...mid $50's with 14k miles, all the packages included, clean carfax. Not certified. I was hoping you guys could chime in and tell me what to look for as "known issues" or maintence problems, any nagging problems? I already noticed the vents don't go all the way up when riding out of dash...would this be covered by mftr warranty? also hoping you had some feedback on the deal price? Or any arecomments welcome ...thx in advance!

The vent issue will definitely be covered under warranty.

Check the in-service date to find out when the warranty expires. 4 years from the in-service date, so you probably don't have a whole lot of time left on it. With that said, these cars are pretty reliable.

Thx everyone so far for the responses. So no real major issues/problems to look for...or are you specifically asking me when the warranty is up because there are issues to watch out for? (Warranty expires in 9 months)

No real issues to worry about. All we are saying is that none of us have owned this car out of warranty (at least in the USA). They should continue to be reliable, but we don't really know.

We're suggesting you get whatever needs doing on some one else's dime ;-)

Look up to the sticky titled https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...issues-105493/

As I recall when I read through all 15 pages, the most common ones were:
1) Buzzy stereo, a fix out now, TSB JTB00537NAS2
2) Cargo hatch cover delaminating
3) California cars sometimes having trouble with fueling
4) One more that I am forgetting?

Look at me, giving advice like an ol'timer

Anything I should be on the "lookout" for when test driving?

Make sure you drop the top and drive at highway speeds and can handle the amount of wind that comes into the cabin. I know that some wind will always come into the cabin at speed, but this car seems to bring in a lot more than other convertibles that I have driven. One thing may be because the side windows really don't extend past the seat, where other cars have more windows behind the driver. Also drive with the top up, and at low speeds (0-5mph) when taking off, see if you can hear the active exhaust motor buzzing away behind your seat. It can be somewhat annoying, but there is a fix for it. If you end up purchasing the car, this may or may not be something you want removed before picking up the car.

Check for tire wear too.
