Question Hot start Issue

Owned my cars two days, this has happened twice.

Go to store and come out, press start after pressing brake and get a click; wait 10 seconds and try again and it starts. Day two ditto, no issue when starting cold and everything else is fine; so is there an issue with the starting system, cannot seem to find a TSB about starting issues.

This is not a battery issue, volts is almost 13. Had the same issue with my XK, was trying to track it down when the car got totaled. I think it is a heat soak issue somewhere in the starter/ solenoid or somewhere in the system.

Just a guess? When this happens again push harder on the brake pedal.
Also when it does not start are the brake lights coming on?
We have seen multiple times that the brake switch is a bit out of place and is not getting pushed in properly.
