Default how to remove Instrument Cluster cover

Sadly, on my 2016 F-type R the speedo/instrument cluster cover leather cover has pulled back and is wrinkled. I have a replacement and need to know how to remove the old one. Many searches here and you-tube have failed to turn up help. There is a thread that asks this, but the answer does not show how to remove the leather cover, only the instrument cluster itself.

Also, there are after market covers that are made of carbon fiber, to be attached over the leather existing one. Would love to know if anyone has tried this route - would prevent the problem in the future, but afraid it won't look good.

thanks

this is what I need to remove

In regards to the carbon fiber, generally, a shiny dash is a bad idea. You either get direct reflections in your eyes, or off the inside of the windshield.

I have this exact same issue on my 2016 F-Type. I have my mechanic looking into removal and will reply back if he is able to find anything

I recently ordered the carbon fiber look overlays for the central cluster to cover the scratched OEM panels. They were very well made, and the fit was basically perfect. There was no seam on the cupholder cover after install. I don’t know what that means for the covers on the instrument panel, but I’m very happy with the central console covers.

Thanks, however I was considering the carbon fiber for the speedo/instrument cluster cover, in front of the steering wheel.
