Wow, great to know! I am thankful I came across this forum thread/posts while researching O2 sensor replacement info. I was gearing up to replace it myself. I've got a 2016 F-Type S (V6) I bought back in July 2024 and my CEL/DTC/MIL came on in January. It's a low mileage car at over 34k miles now. I was shocked when I little baffled when I pulled a H02S Heater Control Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 3 code.

I watched this Skrrt Garage video earlier! You know what's ironic about this video? This (awesome) dude probably had no idea, like me until tonight perusing this forum thread, that JLR issued an extended exhaust oxygen sensor repair/replacement warranty for 10 years for the S/C 5.0L V8 and 15 years for the 3.0L V6. 🙃🤓

So does the scanner tool always specifically tell you which O2 sensor has failed?

Yes. The code tells you if it's bank 1 or 2 (which exhaust side). And sensor 1, 2 or 3 on that side (from closest to engine to closest to back)

Note that if you can raise the car they are really easy to replace. And you can buy the Bosch sensors much more cheaply vs the jag part number...
Mine was about $60 when I did it. So while jag would have paid it was simpler to just do it (10 mins) and not have to take the car in again

Appreciate the response. My car is quite new and I’ve never changed these on any vehicles, so I just don’t have the experience. Definitely does not seem like rocket science.

I have a Quickjack, so like you, I would much prefer to conveniently change them out on my own at home….Warranty or no warranty…I will definitely go the Bosch branded route when the time comes…

Well, I mean if they would provide me the part under warranty I’d take it, but I’m sure they won’t just accept me giving them the code from my scanner…Which means it’s too much butt pain vs. the cost..

Thanks

Where is a reputable place to source these cheaper Bosch sensors from?

Call and ask your JLR dealer about the extended warranty on O2 Sensor replacements.
