Hey guys,

took my car in for service today and noticed that the logo on my instrument cluster used to be the jaguar logo, when i got the car back it is the R logo....is there anyway to change that?? or was there an update of some sort??

Dont recall seeing an option for that although i can't say i have ever really payed much attention to it either.

Push the menu button on the wheel. Scroll up until you get to the display options. Press menu again and then work your way through the options. Scroll left a few times to exit back to main screen.

 

That's interesting...must be a software update. Mine only has the Jaguar. I would like it to show the R like on the nag screen at startup.

 

Just checked. The recent update changed some of the wording on my cluster center menu, but did not change or offer an option to change the available image. Mine is still the leaper. That may be a change for the R only.

 

Jaguar would never think of letting mere peasants have such fancy things, surely that would not be acceptable! Harumppfff harumppfff

Well...they could have added an S for the V6S.

 

Mine (S) changed last service so that the leaper only comes on at startup, then it switches to the music information and it is blank if the stereo is off.

You can go into the display settings and change it back to showing the leaper full-time.

 

It was a software update. Part of the "enhancement program" updates. Mine was done earlier in the week. This change matches the '17 R. I also noticed that the screen resolution of the center screen is improved. I prefer the R logo over the leaper.

 

Can someone post pics of the upgrades? I need to have this done, but it will probably be a few weeks.

 

Does anyone know why you can't access all of the categories in the vehicle information center? I understand the oil info is only accessible after a certain time. Tire info is there but not the others?

 

All of mine are accessible. Are your other Vehicle Info options greyed out, or is it that they don't appear at all?


EDIT: Just occurred to me...all of that info is ONLY available when ignition is on and engine OFF.

 

Greyed out, I think I tried engine off, ignition on. I'll check before the car gets hauled away to dealer on Tuesday because of the wacky electrical problem described in my haywire thread.

 

sorry for the delayed response, yep a software update. I kind of like the Jag logo since we have the R logo on the center unit and on the wheel!! but oh well, i dont see it 90% of the time since i am manually shifting anyways
