With only 300 cars being built, is it really competition to anything. Odds are no one will ever see one on the streets.

I’ll chase him round the moons of Nibia and round the Antares maelstrom and round perdition’s flames before I give him up!

It's absolutely surreal how a book that was written in 1860 ,about American capitalism's "monomaniacal" obsession with oil, is still not only relevant, but LITERALLY THE SAME.... oh well, some things never change.

"An old, old sight, and yet somehow so young; aye, and not changed a wink since I first saw it...."

it also makes a good Star Trek Wrath of Kahn quote reference. But Melville was a genius and considering how well his writing stands up is remarkable. As great writing should.

this hurts my head. I was too young when I saw it last, and over the decades my love of the white whale has only grown.... and I totally forgot the connection/quotes and connection of that film and the book. Derrr, of course, but will be fun to rewatch. =)
