No but I have been keeoing my eye on it, and I posted it here before and got some interesting reactions. som irrational but the one that caused me some pause was a concern that with the aluminium trunk there was significant chance of deforming it where it clamps on.

I've been planning to get one of these, though I haven't decided which size.

Hmm, that one looks doable, but seems like it might interfere with the aero panel in the trunk lid.

Yes, their directions say to manually deploy the spoiler before attaching the bag.

I don't understand how that avoids any problems. It'll still automatically move when in flight.

I had a different brand (Classic Carriers) rack on my first MR2 Spyder that worked pretty well, and was of similar design. Didn't use it often enough, and in the MR2's case, the rack was right over the engine bay, so I worried a little bit, that heat might be an issue if the wife packed toiletries in the bag. Don't have that problem here...

It won't automatically retract when manually deployed, at least on 2014 models.

Thanks. We have no manual control on the Coupe unless the car is parked.

One would hope you'll have less need of extra luggage space vs. the convertible. And for the external bag, I'd deploy the spoiler while parked, before strapping on the bag.

I think the idea is to use the front of the spoiler recess as the mounting point for the rearmost rack attachments. Normally those would clip to the rear lip of the deck lid.

Actually, the straps are continuous - they wrap around the trunk lid and snap to the bag. Watch the video on their website if you want to see how it works.

Ok then that sounds like it won't work with our spoilers.

They explicitly say it works with the F-type convertible if you manually deploy the spoiler first. The 2014 manual states that if you manually deploy the spoiler, it will stay deployed, though I haven't tested that. But the bag maker seemingly has.

*Way* old thread. So we have two types of options, both at this link:

Jaguar F Type Boot Racks | Jaguar F Type Luggage Racks

There's two versions (original, vacationer) one that has a no slip pad, where the luggage is basically anchored onto the trunk itself.

Then there's this one, which is similar to the OP first link, but $800 less:
Jaguar F Type Convertible,Mercedes Benz SLK, Toyota MR2, Boot Luggage Rack

Has anyone tried the proper metal rack? It doesn't interfere with the spoiler, and other than not knowing how it clamps / ties down, It's my favorite option.

Question: will it deform the trunk, depending on how it's mounted?
