Default Jaguar incontrol remote app

Hi all!
I just got a 2017 F Type and downloaded the incontrol app. However, when I try to create an account, I can't get past the first step (name, adress, I'm not a robot...)
I click create account after all is filled up and nothing happens.
I tried on both an Android and Iphone.
The Jaguar service guy tried on his own phone and same results. He couldn't help me. Help!!

Phone might have to be plugged into the car via USB. And I was under the impression the dealer had to set up the account initially, or something like that.

The InControl guide that came with my 2018 XE says that full directions are here, hopefully that’s still the case...

It's a problem with the mobile version of the site. It won't allow you to actually review the terms and conditions. Do it on a computer, then you'll be fine. I had the same problem.

If you havent yet, call JLR incontrol customer service and have them remove the original owner and update with your info.

He's exactly right. I just went through this a few days ago. Create the account on a computer first. Then you'll be able to log into the app on your mobile device.

Thanks for your help!
you are right, it only works on a computer.
I had to open policy/security second window and click accept button at bottom of that.
Only then the account request went through.
The policy acceptance button doesn't appear on phoned or tablets...😒
Good to go!
Thanks again!

Safari can’t handle most pop-up windows.

I'm an *** for my assumption. I assure you there's no misogyny here. Please accept my apologies.

It worked for me as well by going on the computer to set up the account.

But when I tried to input my new car with the last 8 numbers of my VIN it said it could not find it.

I double checked the numbers I put in and still won't let me add my new vehicle.

Any ideas ?
Thank you

Are you the original owner? If not, you will need to call JLR to have the previous owner removed first.

I was a 2nd owner and when I tried to do that, it could not be done by JLR support. It had to be done at the dealer. I had them do it during a service and everything worked afterward.

They are very inconsistent. I did it through JLR support, but was told that I would need to provide proof of ownership. Never did. They took my word and removed the prior owner. Kind of scary, but convenient for me!
