ftype1 - thank you for those explicit details. those details will come in handy if my local gm comes back to me and says that he doesn't know what I'm talking about.

However,if I was a betting man,I'd say all Coupes.
There seems to be a lot of hoopla around the V8 so I wouldn't be surpised if the discount only applies to the V6. Also, I think the JCNA discount historically does not apply to the more exclusive models. Guessing Jaguar figures if you can spend $100k+ for a Jag then you probably don't need a discount lol.

Thanks @buick.
My GM gave me some details from the emailed info he receives from JLR.
If he gets the emailed Sales Bulletins , called JSOB followed by a series of numbers, then all Jaguar GM/SM would receive the same emails.

buick- I did not see anything that stated JCNA, but your SM told you it was the JCNA\Jaguar member discount program right?

I believe this same discount applies to the 2014 V8 Convertible.

@pd - this sounds like another good piece of information. if all gm's receive sales bulletins via email and all sales bulletins contain the text string "jsob" then if need be I can ask the gm to search his jaguar email account for the text string "jsob" to identify the sales bulletin that I'm interested in. sounds like this may have been one of the last sales bulletins that came out so it should display towards the top of his search results.

So with my verified info and @buick's verified info you all should have what you need to firmly suggest the SM/GM of the dealership you are working with extend you the same discount.

You have all the evidence you need that these "know it alls", like the ones who are trying to help you here incidentally, very often do.

Your sales guy clearly doesn't know his *** from his elbow. Why you persist with them, much less make excuses for them, escapes me...

jag_guy in this thread you posted in December - https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...scount-109122/
there was some good advice from a Jaguar dealership employee. Seems you are locked into using the dealer you are referring to, I guess because of a deposit made and order placed. If you are going to close the deal with that dealer you have gained enough good info here he would look stupid to still claim the discount does not exist.

The bulletins are all posted on JBN. I just looked at the Bulletin. The program runs from 7/1/14 thru 3/31/15. The $2500 is for all F Type XK & XJ. The XF is $1500. Most sales people are unaware of the discount as so few JCNA members buy new cars.

@jga - what is jbn? "jaguar bulletin network"? is this some type of website? if so then can you provide the url that I can forward to the dealer if necessary?

@swa - I used the description of "internet know-it-all" to describe a dealer's possible perception of myself. Trust me, I've met plenty of people in various domains who have said "well I've been doing this for x number of years."

Interesting. I did not realize that rebates/discounts were taxed. So if I live in WA with a 10% sales tax then I'll need to put down an extra $250 to get the full $2500 discount?

Is anyone here familiar with the Jaguar concept of "Private Discount Program"?

Is it described as private because the dealer can offer the discount at his own discretion? Or is it described as private because Jaguar does not publicly advertise it?

Sounds like PDP may be the name of a category and the JCNA discount may be one particular type of PDP?

Ok, did some googling, and found this reference to JBN which redirects me to a login page:

https://jbn.jlrext.com/

I also found the following url that refers to JBN and seems to suggest that JBN is some type of corporate portal:

http://www.jrydergroup.com/new/jbn.html

I'm still curious to know if JBN is an acronym for Jaguar Bulletin Network or something else?

I typed the wrong word in my post. It should have read Private Offer Program.
