It may get to a point where I have to decide which I want. Unfortunately, my unrefundable F-type deposit is twice my Emira one 😒
I've been looking at the Emira too. Do you have a date for that one or is that in limbo too?

Oh heck no they don't have a date! Apparently Lotus is notorious for delays. At this point, it's a refundable deposit. Confirmed pricing and specs won't even be released until next month (hopefully!).
From there orders start in November. If I'm lucky enough to get an allocation (they are only sending around 500 1st Editions to the states) then I won't even get the car until next summer/fall.
So ya.. Lots of waiting for possibly no car. Hence the reason I doubled down on an F-type.

haha, im in the same boat with the C8 ZO6. At the largest corvette dealer in Maryland, I'm number 1200 on the wait list... Their allocation is 100 for the first year. Lol

Oh my lord! I can't even imagine that! I loved my C7 GS, but just haven't warmed up to the C8. Even considered getting a Carbon 65 C7 but.. Eh. In the long run, I think the Jag would make me happier.
Sometimes I just wish I saw cars as an appliance like so many other people. Life would be easier me thinks 🤣

haha, me too! Cars are an addiction for me. I'll never have enough money to ever get all the cars I want. I only recently am able to afford a six figure second car. Funny, my main goal for striving for success in my career wasnt anything more than to earn enough money to afford nice cars. Lol shallow I know...

I've never liked the standard variants of the late model corvette. The GS and ZO6 always fix the wrongs of the base models. Wide bodies, wheels, etc.

not necessarily. The F Pace is one of their higher volume vehicles. Sounds like they're focusing on those vehicles.

Today will be one week since my order was submitted for my F-type. I emailed my sales guy to make a change last night. We'll see what he comes back with.

In a fit of frustration I sent an email to Jaguar USA hoping to pry some information from them regarding the future of 2022 F-Type production.
Though I didn't mention it in my email to them I am a bit put off by the fact that their web sites allows for the build-your-own exercise but mentions nothing about the fact the factory is not accepting orders at this time. That doesn't seem to be good customer relations in my opinion.

Who says they are not accepting orders right now? Where are you getting this information? Must be from cgo's dealer?

Edit to add: My order was updated today with a change I made. Salesman has said nothing about there being issues yet...

i noticed two p450 2022 F-Type on cars.com. JLR clearly supplying 2022 F-TYPEs. As usual people on forum boards know more about cars than sales 'professionals'.

Hahaha... Well, sometimes they do. I know the dealer I'm working with has a couple of inbound F-type but they're in the typical white and black, which I'm not interested in.

Apparently there is a chance I am getting lied to by my dealer? If so, that would definitely cost them a sale or two or three going forward; but I'll wait until I hear from them and hopefully get a reply to the email I sent Jaguar USA before I make a final determination.
Thanks for your input.

Well, I asked two different dealers (in two different states-Oregon and California) if I could order an F-type and both said absolutely.
I'm still kinda holding my breath that the order may be canceled, but based on what I'm hearing, but so far, so good. I'll definitely report back here if/when something with my order changes.

Well, I found one on the lot in North Carolina. Bought it, shipping via enclosed trailer. Should be here by the 15th!

Congrats! You got what you wanted and you don't need to wait long time and possibly miss some features at the end.
