Sorry to hear others are having it pushed back - would be gutted.
Mirrored my experience, only I collected it 4 days after it arrived.

Only 150 miles so far, but life is good.

Here's hoping that once you get past the break-in period, the thunderous exhaust will make the speed cameras vibrate so much they can't read your license plate.

It didn't work with the Triumph (675R Daytona) unfortunately, so I have my doubts.

Fingers crossed...

I placed an order for an R coupe on August 25th with an estimated delivery date of early December. As of today, I have no info re the build date or ETA. The dealer is using one of their scheduled allotments of the R to configure to my specs. I contacted the sales person today and he has no info re build date. Should I be worried or is it still too early to have a build date for a December delivery?

I'm in the exact same boat. Placed the order for the R on August 28th. The dealer said that they were going to replace one of their current orders with mine. Estimated delivery is December. They said they probably wouldn't get info on the build date until the end of this month, so probably the first week of October. Based on the time lines, you might be the same.

Thanks! My dealer only told me they had no info so I feel better now. Will try to be patient and wait until the end of the month before contacting them again if I do not hear from them prior to that time.

My Build Date was also changed. It was originally for the week of Sept. 1st. It is now for next week.

They pushed by start date for build back by 15 days and only extended my ETA by 6 days so I guess I should be glad it is only 6 days.

I do wish Jaguar has a program like Merc and BMW where you can elect to take delivery at the factory. Would really complete the experience and also stop dealers messing up the paintwork.

Just heard from my dealer. They are "on track" to deliver my car late December. I thought it was going to be early December but I guess now it will be my Christmas present to me!

OK, I place my order for the R Coupe on August 23rd and paid a deposit. The dealer provided me an order specification sheet a few days later. Originally, delivery was to be early December. Now they say late December. I asked the dealer to provide me a copy of the order/build confirmation from JLR with a build and ETA estimate and there is just silence from them (the dealer). Is it possible they may not have placed the order? I was supposed to get one of their allocation. Could it have gone to someone else? Is it too soon for the dealer to have the build/ETA date and, if so, wouldn't they at least have an order conformation from JLR?

PD are your "diamond turned" wheels similar to the $13,500 wheels? I always wondered what Diamond Turned meant.

20" Storm Wheel - Black & Diamond Turned

$13,450
The Storm wheel is forged for light weight and strength, and comes with Carbon Ceramic brakes with 6-piston front and 4-piston rear yellow calipers. Also includes Carbon Ceramic Braking System.

Nearly same experience for me. I placed my order for the R and deposit on 9/2. I was told "about 4 months" and given the order spec. sheet. Nothing else.

After reading on this forum a fair bit before the purchase, I anticipated that I would walk out on 9/2 with the build date and ETA as so many others seem to have. I wasn't even given a "last change date".

On 9/8 I did call the dealer to make a minor change. Was told the person that had access to the system was out for a few days but they would let them know. Dealer called back on 9/11 to say they were able to get the change done but no other news on build date or ETA only to say the order was "in the system" Is this an issue?

Thanks,
kjamo
