This may be the toughest part of the wait, while they install options, do US spec stuff, and generally twiddle their fingers. Here's hoping it's in your hands soon. I don't like your chances of not violating the recommended break-in.

I'm hoping it's not much more than 2-3 weeks, my scheduled delivery date is 11/7 and my SM said it'd probably be about 1-2 weeks early so that would put me right about the end of this month...maybe Halloween?

I ordered in June and car was built end of September. I tracked it and the car came off the ship last Friday in Baltimore, MD. The dealer said delivery to Michigan was on schedule for 10/24; maybe sooner because, "Jaguar has a tendency to under-promise and over-deliver". Hope he was right... I would like to have the chance to drive it a little before it gets too cold here and I have to store it.

MI-Ftype,
I tracked my car at Gingerman this summer - fun track. Are you in that part of the state? (I grew up around there.)

That's about what I figured as well, 2 weeks to 3 max...my SM said the same thing about Jaguar delivery times, they usually run a bit shorter than originally promised.

Not complaining but a little shocked/confused.

Here's the deal - I ordered the car on 9/2/14. Made a change on about 9/10. The salesman called me back around 9/12 to say they made the change. I did not receive the Vista order form at time of original purchase.

Salesman calls me two days ago, 10/14, to tell me the car is being built this week and ETA is 11/26. Yeah!! I ask him if he can send me the Vista order form. Said he didn't know what that was but would check. In today's mail was a copy of the Vista form. I see I do have a VIN but no Build date or ETA is listed on the form.

I figure what the heck, for fun I'll "practice" entering the VIN into the Track and Trace system.

WHOA!! - Track and Trace says my vehicle was loaded in Southampton on 10/10 with ETA of 10/31 to Port Hueneme and to Tacoma on 11/3.

Should I be concerned or just count my blessings for the unexpected early delivery.

Thanks,
kjamo

Now I'm getting confused as to why mine still isn't showing up on the boat tracking as my build date was the 4th. Does it matter if it coming through the East Coast vs West Coast? I'm assuming that it would be east coast or the gulf when it is heading to Denver as the final destination.

Whether or not you should be concerned will depend entirely on how willing you will be to accept the vehicle you are now tracking, however it happens to be equipped, because the final amend date for a vehicle in this allotment time frame was some time back around August 26.

What was the change you made on 9/10?
Either you made a change that miraculously fit right into the specs of a previously ordered but unallocated vehicle, or possibly your change is something the dealer is planning to amend once the car hits their lot.

Otherwise, you are being fed a load of crap by your salesperson because there is a lot of data in your short synopsis that does not match the established pattern of how this process unfolds.

DJS... I am located on the east side of the state in the Metro Detroit area. Gingerman would be a great road trip to take next season.

Well, just got home and got a message from the GM at the dealer that the car arrived today... just needs to be prepped and have a few accessories added but there is a chance it could be ready tomorrow. If not it's going to be a long weekend!

Good news is that he was right... the delivery was a week earlier than quoted.

Buick... I am sure yours isn't far off.

Thanks for the feedback aJagMan - The change I made was to add the black pack. I agree that it doesn't seem to fit the pattern of anyone else's experience I've read shared here. The Vista order sheet is otherwise correct but very strange indeed.

Hey, hey! Look at what made it to the dealer today. Unfortunately, due to scheduled vacation, I won't officially pick it up until a week from today, but it got here 13 days before the official due date.

They had just gotten it off the truck and were lifting it up on the rack when I got there. Dang; gotta wait a week to drive it... Going to be a long week!

Frank, it'll be worth the wait.

Enjoy your vacation.

The car will be ready and waiting for you next Saturday @ 9.00 a.m.

Well that sucks...did you remember to put it in all caps?

I'm sitting here thinking what 13 days sooner than my ETA would look like, lol...that would put it at 10/25!

I'm just sitting by my phone waiting for the phone call...

Same here, my ETA is 11-28. I keep trying every day. Maybe they are trucking ours over the Arctic.
