Default Just Picked up this Beauty

Just purchased a 16 R Vert with 1200 miles on the clock. Very pleased so far. What a great car! Last Jag I had was a 2011 XK Coupe.

Have a question for anyone with a convertible. How do you get to the rear window in the top to clean it? Does the wind deflector come out some how?

Have owned some quick cars in the past but this thing is wicked fast. Drove it home from the dealer about 140 miles and I was averaging around 24 mpg amazing for 550 hp.

Yes that rear window is tough to clean on the inside. Yes the defector does come out but just be gentle as you don't want to break the insert clips. The manual shows the procedure. I'll post it when I find it. No matter what get ready to become a contortionist when your ready to clean the window.

Interesting, so there is a top that goes up and has a window?

I'd bet you are relying on the car's computer to tell you that you got 24 mpg. It reads about 10% optimistic.

If you're tracking your mileage, you're not fully enjoying your F-Type.

Also agree. Ignore gas mileage. I recommend keeping the revs between 3K and 5K most of the time. It maybe the most efficient range for milage, i think.

+1. Never upshift under 4000 rpm.

Kicking up from 2nd to 3rd at about 6000 rpm launches the car like a rocket. Apologies for the hijack..
