Default JUXTAPOSE! Any E-Type vs F-Type shots?

There's Ed Wright's British Motor Car Repair in San Rafael near me, and we take my wife's Cooper there, and he installed my short shifter. I was lucky enough to get this admittedly gloomy shot, but this is a really good angle for homage. For such a beautiful modern car, Ian's expression of love for the E-Type isn't celebrated enough in the F-Type design. It's changed too much since 2019, so it's not the same fascia, etc. But how beautiful!

Here's a bunch of E-Types over the years I've spotted, but there's only one additional shot of a side by side that I got at a cars and coffee event. https://photos.app.goo.gl/dBrAjawDU8sRFXm89

I would absolutely adore finding out that a bunch of you have E-Type vs F-Type comparison shots?? POST THEM! =)

Took this because I couldn't BELIEVE the F was so much bigger.

Both cars are beautifully proportioned...

The F casts a shadow as large as our 2006 Honda CR-V SUV!

It was interesting to realize how much larger the F-Type is compared to the E-Type.
Also, how Jaguar managed to fit such a large engine into that low profile.
I guess things were simpler back then?

Two outrageously beautiful Jaguars

You can definitely see the lineage from the e type to the f type

Great photos. I'm sure much of the additional bulk and weight of the F Type is due to all the additional safety regulations that have been added to cars in the last 50-60 years. Side impact protection, crumple zones, air bags, etc. I had a friend that owned a 1974 Triumph TR6 and the cockpit was so narrow that you could touch the top of the passenger side door from the driver's seat. Another had a 1975 MG B and someone backed into it while it was parked and caved in the passenger door enough that you couldn't open it. Sports cars from that era were death traps in accidents, at least compared to a hulking 4000 lb US made muscle car.

OK this is my self-proclaimed favorite thread ever. I'm so glad I asked and I hope this becomes another pic post thread that lives on. It's so wonderful!!!!

Also, the people all seem so happy, even that little kiddo obviously tired of papparazzi. =)

Some great E's and F's together in the pics above, I know it's not a Jag but this 69 Goat was my dream car when I was a teen, I saw this at the link @Uncle Fishbits posted.

Default I’ve posted them before.

Saw the E at a shop and parked my F next to it.

Here are my two, a bit unusual (the F-Type is a color shifting wrap, the E-Type is color shifting paint which really doesn't seem to want to shift colors, oh and the E is a Speedster build:

The color change was quite obvious on the E-Type, and I am one that does enjoy modern interpretations on classics, or bold choices. There's enough originals that a modern flare can exist on some cars. And although it looks like you've sold that E-Type, what were some of the alterations and mods? Was it fairly original, or many modern conveniences? Beautiful anyway!! =) Love it.

I worked in a Jaguar shop while I was in college and V8 swaps were just becoming a thing (mid '70s) and I'd always wanted to do one. So I found a '70 XKE with a 327 in it and that became my project car. It is in the process of being completely refitted because initially I'd swapped out the 327 for a period correct 350 but wasn't happy so it now has an LS3. Waiting on a new interior (had to change out the complete front frame to take the power) and hope to have it to drive again by summer.
