Lease a V6 or V8???
that sounds like a great lease deal!..... if we are talking about lease vs purchase, lease seems like a smarter way to go since the depreciation on these cars historically from 2014 has been more than your rate of lease (580/780), actually close to double the lease rate. I think only you can answer if 550 hp is worth $2400 more a year over a pretty fast v6. If you have never owned a car more than 500hp, and finances are stable then i say go for it...2400 more a year for supercar territory kind of power isnt bad at all IMO, plus it's all under warranty so u can enjoy it with a piece of mind

Even when I was looking at that deal, the website CLEARLY stated that the $699 DOES NOT INCLUDE taxes, tag, etc as is normal. Those themselves can add $60 to $120 on top of that $699 figure depending on taxes in your state. In my case, that $699 quickly was $759 and the lower miles and the higher down payment AND I would not have been able to have driven it back. I had originally called on the SVR they were advertising for $89K but what was not obvious until you studied the pictures was that it was a DEMO with OVER 5K miles on it so... that was also a non-starter.
I for one got that deal in November 17 and frankly, they had something very similar advertised (waybackmachine.org is a wonderful thing) at 7500k, 699, 5k drive off (including license, reg, etc). That's for the R as seen here https://web.archive.org/web/20180108...wj6dl9hmk35596 and clearly states that the tax, license, and first is included--not excluded. They also had the S AWD for 549 per month same terms as the R. Been batted around extensively on leasehckr's as well and many folks took advantage of it. In no way does that mean the deal you got was a bad one, far from it--congrats on a pretty fabulous deal compared to almost anywhere else in the country. Not sure how to reconcile your experience with mine, the actual posted advert, and others experience with Hornburg. They might of been more comfortable knocking off another 2k for me due to really high credit or I caught them on a good day.....

I agree with Oz agreeing with Bruce. Having never had the pleasure of meeting the Mrs. I have no idea which model she would prefer, but as a general observation the first time I drove an F I thought this is not a car my wife or I expect most women would go for. Its too loud, too hard, too small, and too lacking in things (like a garage door opener), the steering is heavy and the visibility is lacking. I think most women would prefer a V6, if not a E Class Cab. I apologize to all concerned in advance for dealing in stereotypes.
I do not consider the $200, 35% spread inconsequential. No sense in giving it away.

Is the garage door opener part of an options package? I didn't look close at what was optional and what was stock, but I know my '16 V6S has the opener on the mirror. Have not figured out programming yet but it's there...
Small? Got more useable and functional storage space than some vehicles I looked at (including the ATS-V).
Be wary of the stereotypes...after all, someone looking at an F-Type for a spouse likely has a good feel for what said spouse prefers in a vehicle.
I agree with mbelanger, don't assume that the stereotypes are true. Even if your wife doesn't need the extra power, she may still enjoy the sound, seats and options of the R.

I don't doubt that someone may have been able to have done a deal but I called and negotiated with them for a good while. They stuck to the 5K miles and 5K down that was advertised. It seems everyone has a story with Hornburg (good & bad). They knew where they needed to be to sell to me and simply were not able to get there but it was "no problem" at Crown in Florida so that was where I went.

FWIW, some of us women DO prefer the exhaust note and were PISSED at the changes to the note that occurred. Steering is far from heavy...quite honestly, it is actually pretty soft compared to, for example, the TRACK setting on the Cadillac ATS-V that I drove last year.

Sent you a PM
I was wondering when someone would make this comment. Has she driven both? Or is this a case of Homer buying Marge a bowling ball?
