Default Leather upholstery repair?

Hey guys! I just purchased a 16 f type r for daily, the car is still having one year of CPO warranty. Currently, the leather on the center air vent near that plastic piece is warping a little. The leather headliner near the edges is not sticking to the roof(but barely visible and leather is in great condition). Has anyone had similar issues and would this be fixed under the warranty? I had a V8 vantage and a DB9 prior and they have similar issues, which to me isn't a big deal but both cars were a few years older and there wasn't a CPO warranty(But since this car does have warranty...).

Just had my dashboard center vent replaced last week by the dealer because the leather was starting to bubble due to excess sun damage. Also had the top of the instrument panel replaced back in January for the same issues with the leather. The service manager mentioned that this is becoming a more common problem with certain Jaguar models as they age and are subject to hotter climates. The entire vent piece was exchanged for a new one that looks identical to the former but is now entirely plastic without the section of leather below the speaker. However, the replacement for the top of the instrument domes is all leather on top like the previous one. Am not sure if these repairs are covered under a CPO warranty because my car is still under the original factory warranty. If you are not covered you may want to check out a local auto upholstery shop and save some money because replacing the entire vent is not a cheap repair. Hope this helps and good luck.

I would recommend tinting your car, and I mean every window, even the front windshield. They have clear UV reflective tint that can protect your interior from situations like this. Not saying it's not Jag's fault for not considering hotter climates, but it can save you a lot of headaches. The bubbling is not necessarily the leather, but the glue under it.

My '14 vert is 61/2 years old with no problems. I routinely clean and condition the extended leather. I would think I would have had problem by now in the desert.

Yeah, but I bet it felt good to be out of the rain. In the desert you can't remember your name. 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain.

I had some minor ripples in the center vent- replaced under warranty without issue. The only issue I had with the roof was the panoramic cover was difficult to slide - dealer addressed that also and it is butter smooth now.

The car was tinted from day one back in 2016 yet the leather still let go...

Absolutely, thanks for the input! CPO should be the same in theory as they cover the same thing, but I'll check it out.

Beware of "normal wear and tear."
