Maybe it’s just me because I’ve seen no mention of this but the windshield wiper arms obstruct the view of the bonnet/hood from the driver’s seat. Those arms are massive and raised quite a bit above the glass.

If you think they are bad on the F-Type then try an XF!
Well at least an X250, dunno about the X260.
One of the first things I noticed after getting out of my XFR and into the F-Type was how much lower the wiper arms sit.
Well...here's my only gripe. When I'm toggling through the trip computer, why on god's green earth did they decide "Dist. To Empty" was a better way to say "Range"? *Sigh. (I realize if that's the ONLY thing I dislike about the car, then I probably made a pretty solid decision to buy it in the first place)
Lots to like and dislike. If your buying used do your homework and research. If after buying you find things you dislike and did your homework
you can say well that was a known possible issue. Unless the car is a total lemon embrace it and make it your own drive it like you stole it and enjoy!
That's odd...there is nothing, absolutely nothing about my F-Type that I dislike other than the fact that there is no oil dipstick - but that omission is common to many modern cars.
And just looking at my gorgeous coupe in British Racing Green makes that minuscule complaint disappear!
The main thing to dislike about the F-Type is that when I'm driving it everyone has a gorgeous car to look at except me! We're very altruistic, you know.
I liked the F Type since I first saw it back in 2014, but it was never "practical" for me to have one. And I always had a motorcycle for that. Once my daughter graduated high school, there was much less concern about only having 2 seats. As a compromise, we got an F Pace once they came out. Then my wife messed up and asked me what car I was interested for myself as she made claim to the F Pace right away. Once I got in one around a track on Jaguar's Art of Performance Tour, it was over. See video for reference.
Likes and dislikes are so subjective though. For me, every car I buy now is what I want and not what I need. So the dislikes are much more forgiven and are similar to what is listed above. They do not come close to outweighing the likes though. As I've said and others have said before, you know you got the right car when you still look back every time after you park.
Just one dislike: The seam on the back of the fake suede seat cover is right in the middle on a vertical axis and presses right into my spine unless I adjust my position. A double seam that fit against the lattisimus dorsi would have been more comfortable for me.
I've considered getting the seats reuphostered but just don't trust that the result would be up to standards (mine).
Dislikes: I find the visibility to be terrible. To the rear? Yeah, but not a big deal with the Vision Pack. To the front though? The A-pillars can hide two pedestrians standing on the corner and the rear view mirror obscures a big chunk of the windshield. I can raise the seat to improve the former, but that makes the latter worse. Fore and aft I'm kind of stuck to get good position for the (three) pedals.
Likes: Everything else.
Obviously, that's not enough of a gripe to get me out of the car and others seem less bothered by it, probably because of seating position.

"Fake suede"? The Alcantara is only on the base-level seats...and I didn't think those seats had a seam down the middle (The full leather seats do - but the leather is so soft that I can't see it being a cause of discomfort).

Not so. I have the Performance Seats, aka "wingback" with "suedecloth inserts" and they have a double-seam in the center.
Ah! Thanks Steve...I think the sport seat with Alcantara (rather than all leather) is pretty rare. You learn something every day, or should!
Not sure about the Sport seats, really. I found the Performance Seats to fit really well so that's all I considered. I spec'd the suedecloth inserts because they seemed like they'd reduce sliding in the seat while cornering, and maybe be more comfortable in summer.

I say lots to like and dislike because it is subjective and as I said if you are buy these cars used and did your research
nothing should be a surprise if it has particular short comings. Given the available information.
This forum alone and the f type owners on it have voiced their "likes and dislikes" since the first production year.
Issues considered major also have been covered. Also some will focus on the technical performance aspects and others on the
what I would say falls into the convenience entertainment side of the car.
So yes to some there will be lots to like and some others lots to dislike.
I have owned mine since December and have put about 700 miles on it. There are things I dislike
but not to the point I am miserable or regret buying the car. Some are fixable and some not so much.
So I fix what I can and accept what I can't and will drive the car. I am hoping to have it as long as I had
my 2004 xj8 I just sold last week. I had that car 12 years it was a great car!
It took about 3 years before the passenger seat softened up enough for my wife.
That's because our beautiful wives are more delicate, also the seat gets nowhere near as much use. I keep putting conditioner on my seats and it helped, though whether it was the product or the rubbing I couldnt say.
I agree the performance seats needed to break in. But this is the longest I have ever owned a car, 6.5 years! I guess I like it. Every time I go looking it doesn't make me change or it's out of price range, DB11 vert.
