LIVE oil level reading mode question

According to the workshop manual for the F-type unless your process involved both having the bonnet open and hitting cancel cruise 2 times after the oil check select from menu then the reading you got was not a precise “right now” LIVE mode reading. You would receive something that could be close, but that would be averaged with previous data points.

This LIVE vs not LIVE reading stuff is silly. They should have just made it so that it tells you what the precise oil level is when you ask for it period.
