Seems like there is a window of live “oil level reading” that takes place after timer >10 minutes since last engine run, and ignition ON.

According to the workshop manual for the F-type unless your process involved both having the bonnet open and hitting cancel cruise 2 times after the oil check select from menu then the reading you got was not a precise “right now” LIVE mode reading. You would receive something that could be close, but that would be averaged with previous data points.
