Default Looking to buy MY2014

Hi there!
I've been looking to buy an F Type V6S convertible for a few weeks now and I've finally found one that has the right color/seats/etc.
However, the car is from 06/2014 and did roughly 14000 miles. Are there any known issues with the early models that Jaguar fixed later on? How are your experiences driving a MY2014 F Type?

Thanks guys!

On another forum a member based in Germany, who has a 2014 XF V6 supercharged (same 340 PS motor as the base F-Type), says there were reports in Europe in 2013 and 2014 of early F-Type V6 engines blowing up and/or catching fire, and as a result JLR made some modifications to the engine for MY2015 and changed the oil spec. I only learned of this a few days ago and I had never heard of it before, so who knows how factual it is.
If there is any truth in this then it would probably be best to steer clear of early V6 F-Types and look for MY2015 onwards.

Found the forum and the news report about it, thank you!

I didn't find anything about cars with a higher mileage.

The positive battery cable under the hood was coming loose that was resolved with a recall:

2015 Jaguar F-Type, XF, XJ Recalled For Steering Failure, Fire Risk

Had nothing to do with the engine.

That's really good to know!! Luckily, last week TÜV Germany has released new statistics about the cars they've tested in the last 12 months. Bought the full report now and gonna post if I find anything of interest regarding the F Type.

TÜV is more or less the same as MOT in the UK.

My 2014 S has been nothing but a joy. No concerns after 20k miles. Annual oil changes. Tires last year. One sensor replaced.

I had a guy just yesterday ask me if it was new. Enjoy!

There were a number of software updates to various modules. And the dealer rerouted a harness under the top to avoid wearing out the fabric. I have the invoices for all these, so I could list the campaign number, when I remember.

I've had two O2 sensors and the vapor recovery valve replaced. Jag recommends changing the brake fluid every 3 years, regardless of mileage; I'd check to see if that was done.

Got the report today, unfortunately there's nothing about any JLR cars in it. Thanks for all your help :-)

BTW, I have 36,000 miles on mine so far - about to put the 3rd set of tires on. (OEM P-Zeros -> Michelin Pilot Super Sport -> Soon-to-be Michelin Pilot Sport 4S)
