Had the warning light come on yesterday, the battery is only 11 months old? I did this trick and it seems to have fixed it, thanks for the advice!

The warning light is telling you that the battery voltage is sub-par. You need to *fully charge* the battery or you will get this message again (and possibly other, very random, symptoms). The fact that the battery is only 11 months old is not an indicator of the battery voltage because new batteries are almost *never* fully charged at installation. And if your pattern of use does not allow the battery to charge fully…well, it will be a continuing saga.

And the pressing of the brake pedal and waiting 2 minutes is utterly of no use unless you believe that magical incantations and full moon dancing can solve problems. Disconnecting, eating a bran muffin and reconnecting after 2 minutes works just as well…but please do charge the battery.

Even just disconnect the battery, give it 30s and reconnect should do it

Did you have a state inspection done recently? Or anything else plugged into the OBD port? This error usually means a module didn't shut down and it slowly drains the battery. Disconnecting and reconnecting resets that

I have to do it to my 2017 SVR every year in MA after state inspection...
