Default Lower or upper Intake upgrade for supercharge whine?

Hello all,

I've been wanting to increase the whine on the car and have seen that the lower intake replacement can increase the sound.

Yellow Wolf seems to be out of business so it's no longer an option.

I see that Mina Gallery is what people have been going with but I see mixed reviews. The end result is nice though and you can hear the whine but idk if I need the complete upper and lower intake or if I can just get the lower intake and install that.

Any other brand suggestions welcome.

I went with just the lower Mina intake on mine and it made a big difference, lots more SC whine.
But that's on the V6 and well after a stage 2 VAP tune (larger crank pulley & tune) so it may or may not work as much on the V8.
The upper Mina intake is for looks only it does not increase SC whine and probably doesn't increase power/torque/throttle response either.

Gotcha okay, that's what I was thinking. I thought the upper intake had some hp/tq gains but I'm primarily looking to increase the supercharger whine.

I think I'm gonna just get the lower intake then if it's just cosmetic.

I wonder how much labor would cost to get it installed.. I don't have the tools unfortunately.

I had mine installed by a shop (my preferred exhaust specialist) and it cost me $300 AU which is around $200 US.
But it was the first time he had ever done this job and it took him about twice as long as it would have had he known what to do, so I reckon you should be able to get it done for around $150 US.
