Maintenance?
Hey guys, I am beginning to price out an F-Type lease. Two quick questions:
1) If I get the 2015, it looks like maintenance is on me. What should I expect for maintenance costs on a v6s? I will be driving in chicago, so there will be some winter driving, but nothing psycho. Trying to decide if I should wait for the 2016 or capitalize on the left over stock this spring.
2) This is my first RWD car. With winter tires, should I still expect to be able to get around fairly well in the winter? How has someone else in the midwest handled the tire swap, April & October switches? I have no need to take this thing out in the snow, but I would hate to shutter the car up for 4 months. I can train/ uber if the weather is miserable, but I expect to be able to drive if the roads are clear.
Any help is appreciated! Excited to join your ranks soon

You pay for the maintenance in the 2016's higher cost. Add in that the 2015's can be had at a considerable discount you will be ahead by quite a large margin that maintenance shouldn't be a worry.
As for #2, that I don't know but I made it from Denver to LA on the summer tires in an R last december. Through 4 snow storms and 2 mountain passes.
Wouldn't recommend that. If you want a year round car the AWD might be the better option in your case.

The maintenance included on 16s is just the annual service, which runs between $350 and $500 depending upon the dealer. Thus, the total value of the "free maintenance" is no more than $2K over the 5 years, since the 1st maintenance is free on 14-15s.
Everything non-routine is covered under warranty, and 16s do get 1 extra year of coverage.

I have a 2015 V6S purchased new last October and live in the State of Maine and do not have a garage Queen. That should, for the most part, answer your question [re] winter driving.
Truth is while I didn't take the F-Type out during a snow storm, it did see plenty of mileage during winter. On, I might add, the OEM P-Zeros. Now many here will tell you they are clearly not a winter tire and, by the numbers [tempertures], I would agree with them.
That said, they saw plenty of high-spirited driving in winter-like [read = freezing] temperatures without any mishaps whatsoever. Needless to say I drove in an appropriate manner given the conditions (in other words, not like a nut-job) and I plan on repeating that next winter.
Good luck and, yes, go for it! I vote 2015 at a great deal.
Best regards,

I'm originally from Boston, so I know how crazy NE can get winter wise. That gives me a lot of confidence. I'm going to go for the 2015- I think there is a lot of room to negotiate on the deals and am pretty excited to see what I can come up with.
Here in Maryland we're now seeing $18-20k discounts on '15 V6 and V8 cars.

Those are some serious discounts Lance....if I had had the patience to wait for a 2015, which I clearly didn't, now's the time!
I'm thinking similar discounts will be available at the end of the 2016 cycle on the V6 models when they try to clear those off the lots for the 2017 Ingenium engine. I, like you, am happy with a much more modest discount to get the car 8-10 months sooner.
Definitely! (As you know, I got my 2015 V6S mid-Oct with a discount off MSRP of approximately 12%. That, I thought, was a great deal).

Foosh, I just looked at their website and they are advertising all the '15s at MSRP. On the lot, they are deep discounting them, but not the '16s. I didn't look at the used car section, but I suspect those can be had for less than advertised since they have a button next to each used car listing on the site to receive a "sale quote".
