Map updates
Has anyone received the below e-mail from NNG and Naviextras offering map updates? Is this spam?

I have a 2017 built late 2016, and it only has USB for any kind of data. No data card, SD, etc. Make sure you verify that the update format will work with your car. Is it OTA (over the air) or is it an SD card that they send you. There are NO current nav updates for my car.. it was 'transitional' for MY2017. JLR was selling off leftover USB nav updates but the data is from 2020. To me, no sense in wasting money on 5 year old info. I don't live in a large metro area and there are few if any new roads put in, so I'm OK with what's there. If anything I just look something up on Google Maps and figure it out from there.
Yeah, for my 2016 it's the end of the line for map updates. The older systems use maps provided by HERE. The 2018 may still have updates available but it's not something I've explored.
