Default Market value of SVR

I'm trying to figure out the market value in the US of the SVR. Particularly, 2018 models. However, I can't seem to find any for sale. I'm I missing something in my search qualification. I tried autotrader.com and cars.com. Last year around this time the new 2017's were heavily discounted. A new 2017 SVR, modestly optioned, could have been bought for $90,000 a year ago, a little more than they are selling for now used with a few thousand miles and a year of warranty expired.

I think it was 2018 that DGL was after. Strewth those 2017's are cheap, I coiuld sell my 6 potter for more than that here, with 3 years and 25,000km on it!

Thinking of getting back into the Jags, eh? I can remember when the AWD F type was just a concept while we both had the XKRs and you were interested back then, I have to say the F Type is pretty hard to beat...

Yes considering the starting price those SVR's have dropped well in price. I found one in Germany too that lost 45% in price It was from 2016. But another buyer got if before me.
I live in Sweden and here the prices for the F-type are not following the used market like anywhere else in the world. They are way too expensive used.

Yes, I did find that one. I was expecting to find at least 5-10. This one is still priced very high considering the 2019`s are priced around the same price point.

Hey Bruce, I miss this form and not owning a Jag. I`ll pick one up if I can find what I`m looking for in Canada. Otherwise, I may go back into hibernation again. Some members on this form are very knowledgeable and helpful.

I believe JLR learned the hard way the lesson of supply & demand (over-supply of MY 2017, required them to provide deep discounts to move vehicles) so they have now under-supplied the MY 2018's, and thus there are few if any still available.

DGL, you have probably seen this one, used 2018 with ~1,000 KM, listed for ~$118K Canadian...but it is probably a good benchmark of value. (Not sure what the MSRP was when new.) https://www.autotrader.ca/a/jaguar/f...%203A8&sprx=-1

This one will probably also give you an idea of market value for the MY 2018. MSRP: $157,323 Now listed at $125K Canadian

Perhaps you should briefly consider this grossly over-priced Project 7 instead.

Thanks everyone. I'm well aware of the Canadian market and the SVR's for sale in Canada. I just find it strange no 2018's are available for sale in the US. Ok, there is one I know about for sale in the US.

That project 7 is being used for marketing, to draw attention to the dealership. They probably bought it for nothing. In my opinion, the project 7s will go the same way the XKR-S GT is going in price--DOWN, DOWN, DOWN.

As one of the previous posters mentioned, I think Jaguar adopted a wait and see as far as market demand. Like you, I often check market values, especially since I own a 2017 SVR. I also noticed an absence of a MY 18 SVR in any but a miniscule capacity, and even into MY 19 the SVR is a rare bird and often all I find are the 150k convertible model.

They may have just skipped MY 18 to adapt in the new infotainment screen into the cockpit, as the 19 models seem to all have the pro version sans buttons.

Yes, I was one of the lucky ones to ****** up a heavily discounted SVR with just 7 miles on it. 😁

I'll love to see a street production version. Maybe when Jaguar is largely an electric auto platform manufacture we'll see something like this. However, the price will be $200K plus. Found this photoshoped rendering:

Guess all those MY 18’s are in Europe. https://www.autoscout24.se/lst/jagua...m=2017&atype=C
